To say that this has been a challenging year for all of us is an understatement. Our faith has been put to the test on many occasions. Picture yourself going through your last 12 months in a 4th world country that is also in political turmoil. That is what our Haitian families have been facing. The village we serve on the Southeastern coast of Haiti has been facing violence and food insecurity for the 15 years we have been serving that area. The Covid shutdown was difficult on all of us in the US but in Haiti it takes on a whole new set of problems. When you have to day to day with your needed food and water supplies, the situation becomes life threatening within three to four days. This is what we were facing as a mission with our village of Bremen in distress. Our faith, prayers and your answers became the lifeline for these Haitian families. God always hears our prayers and His answers are sometimes miracles. Your prayers and gifts helped to provide food, water and medical care to people who were sheltering in place. Our Bremen compound with a church and school became a safe haven for these families. They were able to come and get food and water supplies for a week at a time. In May 2020 we saw the beginning of malnutrition in our infants and very young children, you supplied funds for a monthly clinic on the compound where nutrition supplements are administered. This has saved many babies and young children from serious developmental problems. In several cases, it has saved their lives. Only God could orchestrate all of these needs being met by people from another country through a small mission on the Southeast coast of Haiti. What a testimony we have to the God we serve. All of the praise and glory goes to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. May He continue to bless Agape Christian Mission and all of you.
