The Faithfulness of our God in 2020-2021

To say that this has been a challenging year for all of us is an understatement. Our faith has been put to the test on many occasions. Picture yourself going through your last 12 months in a 4th world country that is also in political turmoil. That is what our Haitian families have been facing. The village we serve on the Southeastern coast of Haiti has been facing violence and food insecurity for the 15 years we have been serving that area. The Covid shutdown was difficult on all of us in the US but in Haiti it takes on a whole new set of problems. When you have to day to day with your needed food and water supplies, the situation becomes life threatening within three to four days. This is what we were facing as a mission with our village of Bremen in distress. Our faith, prayers and your answers became the lifeline for these Haitian families. God always hears our prayers and His answers are sometimes miracles. Your prayers and gifts helped to provide food, water and medical care to people who were sheltering in place. Our Bremen compound with a church and school became a safe haven for these families. They were able to come and get food and water supplies for a week at a time. In May 2020 we saw the beginning of malnutrition in our infants and very young children, you supplied funds for a monthly clinic on the compound where nutrition supplements are administered. This has saved many babies and young children from serious developmental problems. In several cases, it has saved their lives. Only God could orchestrate all of these needs being met by people from another country through a small mission on the Southeast coast of Haiti. What a testimony we have to the God we serve. All of the praise and glory goes to the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. May He continue to bless Agape Christian Mission and all of you.

Agape Mission Construction Team Trip March 1st - March 10th

Hi Friends,

We are making final preparations for the team of 6 to enter Haiti and head to our compound in Bremen, Haiti. Our goal for this 10 day trip is to begin the assembly of the 12 room school structure for our Agape Christian Academy on the Bremen compound. The school has 70 students with grades K-5th. There are 7 teachers and 2 teacher aids. The school currently is meeting in an open pavilion on the compound. Any inclement weather often prohibits school. The teachers and students are so excited to see a structure being assembled which will give each grade a separate classroom that is enclosed and provides them safety from bad weather. The 3 buildings were manufactured in the US by Erecta Shelters in Arkansas. They are earthquake safe and hurricane safe. This is a big plus for the community as a shelter from natural disasters which seem to hit Haiti too often. The church building is also constructed in this way. We are all so excited to be part of this historic event on Agape's home base compound.

Please be in prayer for this team as we head out on March 1st a 5:30am from Greensboro, NC to Miami. We arrive in Port au Prince at 2pm and head across the mountains 3 hours to Jacmel and the Cap Lamandou Hotel. The team will work on our compound daily ( except for worship at Bremen Church on Sunday) on the construction of the school. We leave the compound early on March 10th headed to a 9am departure for Miami and then to Greensboro, NC at midnight. Pray for health, safety in travels and at the work site as well as blessings for those we encounter and work alongside. Keep us mindful that we are the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you for your prayers. Please look at our Agape Christian Mission Haiti site on Facebook for updates while we are in Haiti.  Blessings,  Linda

Agape Christian Missions Newsletter

Greetings to all the members of this Agape Mission Team,

I pray that you are enjoying the summer with all of its possibilities for family and fun. The mission is happy to attach the latest Newsletter for you to enjoy. Please realize how much you are needed and appreciated by the mission as we move forward in Haiti to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

The mission is ready to ship the 40 foot container from Arkansas where it was loaded with all the metal pieces and parts to assemble our church in Bremen. The building assembly will occur the week of August 8-15. We need workers for this project. You do not need experience at construction to be able to assemble this building. If you are interested in helping us, please let me know. I have more details and will share them when you contact me. Your prayers are needed to cover the container for a safe trip to Port-au-Prince and for Senator Edo to give us the promised one day franchise to get the container released when it gets to POP. Also pray for safe passage to Bremen and to our compound. Be in prayer for the team that is assembling to do the construction on the church. Pray for safety and success in their efforts.

We are also in full fundraising mode for the Mission Team House. The proceeds from the Gigantic Garage Sale on September 10-12 will go toward the $50,000 needed for the house. In order for the sale to be a success, we need your DONATIONS. Please give me a call or email if you have anything to add to our garage sale items. We are in need of all the different departments including: clothing, furniture, electronics, sports, outdoor patio, kitchenware, appliances, household goods, crafts supplies, purses, shoes, bedding, jewelry, tools, baby furniture, baby clothes, baby and kids toys. We will sell any item that fits our garage sale. Please help us make this sale the biggest and best.

Be in prayer for our congregations in Haiti and for the pastors who oversee them. Pray for the schools and the teachers who are helping the children learn. Pray for those who need Jesus in their hearts. Our doors are open to them and we want them to come in. Thank you for your support of the mission.

In service to the only King,
Linda
